y name is Timothy Dobson, and I have worked to help
couples create a unique ceremonial container for their
wedding day that reflects who they are, where they are from, their
spiritual beliefs and the vision they share in standing in this world
together as a committed partnership. I have served as an Interfaith
Minister for the last 15 years and consider the many paths to the
experience of the Divine a rich mosaic. A deepening appreciation
and understanding of spiritual diversity is an important part of my
lifelong journey.
I am a musician and facilitator of the Dances of Universal Peace, a form of sacred circle dance that I sometimes use at weddings to unite a diverse community of friends and family. These dances have worked well as a pre-ceremony connecting activity or a lively component at the reception. Sometimes a dance can be skillfully integrated into the ceremony itself and deepen the atmosphere in a way to make the words spoken even more poignant.
